Hairy bitter cress

Although invasive as a creeping ground crop, hairy bitter cress is a tasty if bitter salad crop of the mustard family.

Perhaps not the most appetising of green leaves, it is a useful overwintering evergreen perennial salad crop.

And with small white flowers, the plant is also popular with some butterflies!
